“A Heike warlord who had been seriously injured in the Battle of Dan-no-ura and barely swam to shore found a puddle of water, and when he tried to drink it, it was fresh water.However, when he tried to take another sip, it turned out to be salt water, and he died on the spot. A place where there is a legend that says, “I ran out of energy.”
A shrine was built in the clear water that gushes out on the shore near the monument, and it is still offered in front of the shrine of Akama Jingu as wakamizu on New Year’s Day.
